Jon Shield - Creator of The Pain Cave.
The Pain Cave was born out of a passion for running and exploring and racing in the World’s most extreme environments, physically and mentally pushing to test the mind and body’s limits.
Having used a variety of styles of headwear for the different environments (Arctic, jungle, desert, mountains) a desire to create a brand started to burn within and the way things could be done a little differently. New styles and headwear that stood the test of time being manufactured with premium materials, using embroidery rather than using transfers wherever possible. This has led to development of The Pain Cave.
Jon SHIELD Finishing the Dragon’s Back RACE in 2024 - a 380km, 6 day race from conwy to Cardiff Castle covering over 58,000ft of elevation. The race is termed ‘the world’s toughest mountain race’.
